Welcome to Mighty Minds Little Hands International Preschool
Whether you are an expecting mother to a wee newborn or a dad to a growing toddler or parent to a developing preschooler, we want to thank you for visiting our website during your search for daycare for your children. Finding childcare and a school that you and your child can call home can be a challenging undertaking, especially here in Charlottesville, so let us help alleviate some of the stress.
While you will find valuable information you here on our website, we encourage you to reach out and schedule a visit to meet us, so we can answer your questions in person and show you around our sweet little school. We also invite you to view our video and hear from two parents whose children have attended Mighty Minds, from 3 months old to preschool graduation.
Mighty Minds Little Hands has been caring for children since 2006, supporting, encouraging, and guiding them in a structured and safe environment. We are a licensed child care organization by the State of Virginia, and we are centrally located in Charlottesville, convenient to downtown, the University, and surrounding communities, where we are open daily from 7:30a to 6:00p.

A Little History
Mighty Minds Little Hands Preschool was founded by Ghizlaine “Gigi” Taft, MS in Counseling, in 2006, humbly as a home venture daycare, a place where parents could have peace of mind knowing their child was in a safe and loving environment. Only one year later, Gigi purchased a facility where she could grow her school into what it has become today, an international preschool. Now, Mighty Minds has an enrollment of nearly 80 students who are guided by 20 teachers. Read more about Gigi and her staff→
